Article marketing has become one of the most popular low cost advertising methods used by internet marketers today. Understanding and being able to write a keyword rich article can provide an excellent source of traffic to your website or affiliate business. There are a few simple things that you must do to ensure your article marketing efforts are successful and not a complete waste of time.
The same strategy that I am going to show you below has resulted in articles that exceed 7500 visitors per month, effectively exploding my affiliate businesses. You would start the steps below assuming that you already have a website or chosen affiliate niche to promote.
Step #1 Keyword Research
Keyword research is one of the most important steps in creating a effective article marketing strategy. The keywords that you choose can affect your search engine results and ultimately the number of visitors you receive to your articles. I recommend using WordTracker’s free keyword research tool to find the best keywords for you articles.
TIP- Try to include your keyword in your article title. The body portion of the article should have your keyword in every 8-10 lines.
Step #2 Effective Writing
I personally feel that this is the most important part of your article marketing strategy. You want to provide valuable content to your visitors. Providing excellent content can increase your search engine effectiveness and ultimately boost your click-thru ratio. You don’t have to be a professional writer to have an effective article campaign.
Step #3 Article Distribution
Once your article is completed, there are several different places to distribute your content online. These are the three main steps that I use with each new article that I create. There are many other ways to drive traffic to your website or affiliate marketing business, but I have had some exceptional results with article marketing. If you apply these same steps you will be well on your way to building an effective traffic resource.
