Search engine optimization, otherwise known as SEO, is a subject mysterious and foreign to most people. Depending on watch niche you choose, the affiliate marketing industry can be very competitive. If you are cautious and strategic in your marketing techniques then it could be very profitable for you. Take a close look at the industry; you will see that not everyone who gets into affiliate marketing becomes successful. People who are doing well leave no room for failure and take all security measures and understand its importance. Yes! Security is one of the key factors in affiliate marketing. Do not take them for granted. A bit of carelessness on your part in regards to affiliate links may cost you a lot of money.
Do you know the long complex links that you send to your prospective customers not only look complicated but they can create a lot of issues too! If you send such an affiliate link to your customers, then the smart ones will certainly figure out that you are promoting someone else’s product and they would rather just visit the parent company. Many people are unaware of the pros and cons of affiliate marketing. It is true that affiliate marketing is a great way to earn money online. However, just like any other great way to make money, there are some downsides.
Another problem that many marketers have is finding a great niche to promote. When I first started in the Internet marketing industry I chose the Tattoo niche. I chose this niche for a couple reasons; one being that I have a few tattoos, and the other was because I felt confident that I could produce a reasonable amount of content on the subject. I spent about two months creating large amounts content that resulted in almost 1000 hops, but only a few conversions. I eventually quit and began looking for another niche to promote. The important thing is that I didn’t get discouraged. I continued on and eventually found several successful niches.

Participating on forums is one of the best ways to attract new customers or distributors to your business and to network with like-minded entrepreneurs.
Here are some quick tips for “forum marketing:”
1. When you register for the forum, use your real name as your Username. For example, instead of registering as “supernetworker935″ set up your Username as “John_Doe.” Some forums allow a space between words. If not use an underscore.
You want people to get to know you and begin to recognize your name.
2. Read the forum rules! As a moderator of a couple of forums, I’m still surprised how many new members (and a few old ones!) don’t read the rules.
You look stupid when you break the rules. Don’t do it.
